Panda (Yilin Shangguan)
Coach Panda formerly represented China in the Chinese Women's Volleyball National Team and was a National Games Champion. She was also part of the renowned Bayi Women's Volleyball Club and Hebei Province Club both based in China. Furthermore, she was recognized as a National Elite Athlete. After retiring, Coach Panda became a volleyball coach and has been coaching for over 15 years. She has worked as a head coach for Eclipse Volleyball Club, Mountain View Volleyball Club, and Monta Vista High School. Coach Panda has a master's degree in Physical Education.
Yun Wang
Coach Wang began training as a professional volleyball player back in 1987. She was known for playing the Middle Blocker and Setter positions. She has also represented universities in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, and Beijing at the provincial and national volleyball matches all while achieving outstanding results.
Jimmy Ip
Coach Jimmy has coached volleyball for 10 years. He played as a setter and outside hitter for UCD Men's Volleyball Club. In addition to volleyball, he also plays badminton and has won a CCS Gold and Silver medal in mixed doubles. 2016-2018: girls youth teams assistant coach, boys youth teams head coach. 2018: Boys 12-Black Head Coach. 2018-2019: Boys 12-Red Assistant Coach. 2019-2020: Eclipse Girls 16 Head Coach, Boys 13-Red Assistant Coach. 2020-2022: Boys 14-Red Assistant Coach2021-2022: Girls 18-White Assistant Coach.

Andy Li
Coach Andy began his volleyball journey at the age of 8 in Beijing, training in the sports school system all the way through university. Over the course of a decade, he competed in numerous tournaments with outstanding results, earning recognition as a National Second-Level Volleyball Athlete in China. His athletic talent and commitment also gained him special admissions as a volleyball athlete throughout middle school, high school, and university.
In addition to volleyball, Coach Andy has over 15 years of experience competing in badminton, which further enhanced his foundation in athletic movement, discipline, and a competitive mindset.
With a strong background in technical training and a lifelong passion for sports, Coach Andy is dedicated to helping every player refine their skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential both on and off the court.
Edwin
Coach Edwin brings 12 years of playing experience and 8 years of coaching experience to the court, with a versatile, foundation-first approach to player development. A 2018 NCS Champion at Irvington High School, he played Opposite Hitter while also gaining experience as a Setter and Outside Hitter.
Earlier this year, Coach Edwin served as Irvington’s Boys’ JV Head Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. He currently leads the Girls’ Varsity program as Head Coach. Passionate about developing well-rounded athletes, Coach Edwin emphasizes strong fundamentals while helping each player build confidence and discover their own unique style of play.
With 11 years of volleyball experience, Coach Selina brings a player-centered approach built on strong technique, dedication, and a genuine love for the game. She has trained as an Outside Hitter, Opposite Hitter, and Middle Blocker, giving her a well-rounded understanding of multiple positions and the skills athletes need to succeed.
Beyond her playing experience, Coach Selina managed Piedmont Hills High School’s Boys’ Varsity team, coached at a volleyball clinic in Santa Clara, and led a volleyball student organization while in university. She is passionate about developing athletes’ foundational skills, training habits, and game sense so they can make confident, thoughtful, and responsible decisions both on and off the court.
Ivan Choi
With nearly 20 years of playing experience, Coach Ivan brings both passion and expertise to the court. As a standout player, he led his high school team to the varsity championship in the 2012–2013 Hong Kong local competition and earned a spot in the prestigious Hong Kong “Jing Ying” Tournament. Transitioning into coaching, he served as an assistant coach for the girls’ team and later as head coach of the boys’ team at Monterey Trail High School in Elk Grove.
Dedicated to teamwork, discipline, and continuous growth, Coach Ivan is committed to developing skilled, resilient athletes who not only excel individually but also elevate the success of their team.
Kyra Bito
Coach Kyra is currently an athlete at West Valley College. With nearly 10 years of volleyball experience, she has competed both indoors and on the sand, and occasionally in grass doubles as well. As an indoor player, she has primarily trained and competed as an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist, with additional experience on the right side. Her versatility and dedication to the game have shaped her into a well-rounded athlete with a deep understanding of multiple positions. Passionate about the sport and excited to step into a coaching role, Coach Kyra is eager to build meaningful connections with players while helping them grow both on and off the court.
Abraham Aguirre
Coach Abraham grew up in Fremont, California, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University.
Volleyball has always been a major part of Coach Abraham’s life. He has eight years of playing experience as an Outside Hitter and Opposite and continues to compete at a high level. He currently captains an IVL A-League team and co-captains a travel team that competes throughout the United States and internationally, including tournaments in cities such as Vancouver and Portland.
Coach Abraham has spent several seasons coaching at Irvington High School, serving as the JV Girls Head Coach and as a Varsity Assistant Coach for both the boys’ and girls’ programs. His coaching philosophy centers on effort and excellence—standards he strives to demonstrate both on and off the court. His goal is not only to help players strengthen their fundamental skills and court IQ, but also to support their growth into strong, confident journey.
Coach Scott played club volleyball in college as MB, then many years of grass and sand doubles in the Bay Area. He was head coach for four years at the school level, and has assisted for many of the 9 years that his daughters played for Eclipse Volleyball Club. He was also the "Stats Coach" for 7 years at Monta Vista High School, and believes in the importance of understanding when data can help improve a team, and when it comes down to motivation, heart and determination.
Xiaoqian Shen
Coach Xiaoqian Shen's volleyball journey, starting in elementary school and culminating in a 15-year career, is truly remarkable. Her team’s winning 1st place in the Chinese Youth Volleyball Competition during middle school set the stage for her future successes. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Business Management from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. As team captain, Coach Xiaoqian led her team win the China National College Volleyball League championships for incredible six consecutive years. Her personal awards include multiple MVP, Best Attacker, and Best Middle Blocker. Xiaoqian has a passion for coaching and she pushes the potential for each and every one of the players she coaches.
Chuck Tong
Coach Tong played outside hitter on high school and college teams. He see volleyball as a life time passion. He served as assistant coach at Eclipse volleyball club and took the team to become regional champion. He is an IMPACT Certified coach and has NFHS Coaching Certification.
